Dublin City Council To Restrict Number Of New Off-Licences In Dublin City

The Dublin Development Plan 2011-2017 of which is due to be ratified midnight on Wednesday 24^th November 2010. The Development Plan intends to severely restrict the number off-licences in Dublin City for the next five years. City councillors voted on Tuesday, 23^rd November to prohibit the opening of new off-licences or part off-licences, except where there was a “compelling case” for such outlets in a particular area.

It is unclear at present whether this will affect the grant of future Wine-only Off-Licences.
